The Barbara B. Mann
Performing Arts Hall has made a name for itself with a variety of
impressive national and international acts. This year will no
exception, when the highly acclaimed Broadway hit “Wicked the
Musical” comes to the stage in March.
In addition to the
Barbara B. Mann, visitors to The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel
have a selection of several other choices when it comes to the

Situated on the 10-acre Alliance for the Arts campus, the 180-seat
Claiborne and Ned Foulds Theatre, and the Margaret Morrow Frizzell
Amphitheatre, present theatrical productions such as dramas,
comedies, recitals, concerts and other cultural events. Jodick
productions will present “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor
Dreamcoat” in March.

The Florida Repertory Theatre is located in the heart of the Fort
Myers River District at the historic Arcade Theatre. On-site
childcare is available for select performances – a perfect set-up
for parents needing a night out on the town. Florida Rep will
feature the award-winning drama “Dancing at Lughnasa” through Feb.
9, followed by the comedy “Alone Together” from Feb. 13-March 8.

Broadway Palm boasts year-round professional musicals and comedies
for adults and children, as well as a lavish, award-winning buffet.
Evening performances take the stage Tuesday through Sunday and
matinee days vary. Ticket prices range from $25 to $50. “Singin’ in
the Rain” runs through Feb. 14, then “All Shook Up” is on stage Feb.
19-April 11.
Murder

The Murder Mystery Dinner Train, a 3-1/2-hour ride along the
Seminole Gulf Railway, features an elegant five-course meal and a murder
mystery show in a vintage dining car. Participants witness the
unraveling a comical mystery and must unveil clues to discover the
killer and earn super sleuth status. The dinner train theater runs
Wednesday through Sunday and fares range from $54.98 to $64.98, plus
tax and gratuity. Reservations are required. “League of Villainous
Enemies,” a mystery featuring the worst of the “bad guys,” is
playing through the end of March.

The Schoolhouse Theater
is Sanibel Island’s only professional musical theater and offers
Broadway caliber talent in an intimate atmosphere. Ray Cooney’s “Out
of Order,” about a murder in a London hotel, is on stage through
Feb. 7, and “Classic Broadway Abridged,” a musical review of
Broadway show tunes, runs Feb. 12-March 7.

Tickets are now available for “Show Stoppers: A Broadway Review,”
